Youth strategy

Research into the needs of young people with RMDs

EULAR Young PARE conducted some research in 2014 to:

  • Understand the needs of young people, age 18 to 35, with RMDs
  • Understand how patient organisations across Europe work with young people with RMDs
  • Understand what activities and support are in place for young people with RMDs across Europe

The results of this research are outlined in the report and infographics below. Results from this research informed the development of the EULAR Young PARE strategy.

EULAR PARE youth strategy 2015-2020

The research confirmed that having a RMD has a huge impact on various aspects of life for young people. With these results, EULAR Young PARE have a good basis to implement the youth strategy and a practical plan of actions for EULAR, youth groups and PARE organisations.
